As a rsponsible citizen, you are entitled to help anybody asking for help or assistance however you can so long as its within the law and you don't interfere with the emergency services.
However, you should also be aware that your motor insurance policy might not cover you. If in doubt, don't. You should call our Control to tell them that you're assisting, then you'd be covered by the third party liability insurance you get as an Operational Member
